Fellowship, unity, love and pride in worshiping around family and friends was the purpose of this celebration—on September 11, we shared tons of fun and a whole lot of love at our annual Family and Friends Day.
Each year we have an annual competition to see who can wrangle up the most family and friends. This year, Rev. Geneva Coleman laid claim to bragging rights with 29 visitors, although sister Ann Jetter was hot on her heels with 25.
Bethlehem was on fire during service as our pastor preached the message, “What is God Getting out of Your Life?” “God put us here for a purpose- it’s time for you to get up and do something!” he said.
During service, the Cobra One Motorcycle Club was presented a trophy for their dedicated service. The club joined us for the third-consecutive year of Family and Friends Day.
For the perfect one-two punch, we followed up the awesome service with an incredible cookout featuring summer favorites like fried fish, sausages, hot dogs and potato salad, just to name a few. There was even a snow cone machine and bounce house for the kiddos. Cobra One added an extra treat for all the thrill seekers—free bike rides around the neighborhood.
It was an awesome day of celebrating God with family and friends—we can’t wait to do it all again next year!
